What are your themes for?

Do I get future updates of the Moodle theme?

All updates are free for life when you purchase the theme. If there is an available theme update for the Moodle version you bought we will the update to you absolutely free.

How do I install your themes?

How do I customize your theme design to suit my own branding?

License Information

Are your theme licenses subscription-based? Do I need to pay monthly or yearly?

No, our theme licences are NOT subscription-based. They’re perpetual to the Moodle theme for life. We do not charge additional fees for any moodle version or theme update. You only need to pay a one-time fee.

I want to install your theme on a staging site (for testing only) and a production site (public-facing). Which license do I need to buy? Would a Single Application license cover my use case?

Yes, you just need to buy a Single Application license.

Can I customize your theme to fit my own branding needs? Does your license allow me to do so?

Yes, of course. We’ve written functional blocks to help you customize the themes to meet your own needs. You can go to a theme’s documentation to see all of the relevant tutorials for that theme.

After buying a Single Application License, can I upgrade to a Multiple Applications License?

Yes, just email us with your purchase proof and we will give you a unique code to discount the money you’ve already paid.

Can I buy your theme license on behalf of my client?

Yes, you can. However, you need to respect the license terms. If your client intends to use the theme on multiple domains/subdomains you need to buy the Multiple Application License for them.

Can I buy your themes and sell them to my clients as my own products?

No, you can’t sell our themes as your products or bundle them in your own products to sell to your clients. However, you can buy the theme licenses on behalf of your clients and charge them for any design/development services you do for them.

Support

I found a bug/issue in your theme what should I do now?

You can email us at support@themesalmond.com to report the bug/issue so we can investigate and fix it asap.

Does your support include theme installation and customisation?

No, theme installation and client-specific theme customization help/advice are not included in the theme license price. For Moodle theme installation, you might find this online documentation helpful.

How often do you update your themes?

We improve and update our themes on a regular basis to fix bugs and add new features. We always try to keep them up-to-date with the latest version of Moodle. On the theme details page you can find the theme “Changelog” section where you can view the theme change history.
